Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actress, performer, and writer, best recognized for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV show Gilligan's Island. Bettle's Two's Company musical was the first production she acted in for her first stage appearance. Then she appeared in numerous Broadway performances before she was an international star with Li'l Abner in 1957. She also released her first album, titled It's Time to Tina in the same year. Louise was the first to make her debut in Hollywood playing Griselda Walden on God's Little Acre, a dramatic film that debuted in 1958.The film received a lot of praise as well as Louise won her Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. During this time she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her instructor. Her most memorable performance came in 1964. She signed with CBS to play Ginger Grant. Louise had a successful career in Hollywood and Broadway in roles that were more serious to counter her image of glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The series starred her as SG-1's Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. However, in recent years she also became a well-known director on popular TV programs like Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex in Ontario on the 27th August, 1965. Her family relocated to Toronto around the age of three. She spent her childhood there and her adolescence. Following her selection for the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997, and has lived there since.
